Anna & Sophie — Our Story

Made by a mother who knows what quality really costs.

Anna & Sophie spent 30 years behind the scenes of luxury fashion. She started as a seamstress, worked her way up to production manager, and held $3,000 dresses in her hands more times than she can count.

She knows exactly what they cost to make: $47. Sometimes $52 for the complicated ones.

The rest? Marketing. Middlemen. Brand names you're paying for but never see.

She watched the industry change. Fast fashion took over. Quality disappeared. The brands she worked for moved production overseas, cut corners, doubled prices. Women paid more and got less.

Three years ago, Anna & Sophie had enough.

"I know every stitch. Every seam. Every supplier in Italy. Why am I making other people rich while women pay $2,000 for a dress I could make better for a fraction?"

Her daughter Rose had been sketching since she was twelve — filling notebooks with silhouettes inspired by her mother's stories from the ateliers. Now studying fashion design in New York, she didn't hesitate when Anna & Sophie decided to start her own label.

"Mom knows how to make a dress perfect. I know how to make it feel right for today's woman."

Together they opened a small atelier in Charleston, South Carolina. No investors. No marketing agency. No middlemen. Just a mother who knows quality and a daughter who knows design.

The same Italian fabrics. The same craftsmanship. The same attention to detail as dresses that cost $2,000 — without the name, the markup, or the guilt.

"You're not paying for a logo. You're paying for our hands."
